Jay R. Adams received his BSEE degree from Western New England College. He worked for nine years with General Electric and Allied Signal designing sophisticated embedded communication and control platforms. He has held various Engineering positions at ARROW Electronics, AMI Semiconductor, and within the Television Broadcast Industry. He is currently working for Smiths in the Engineered Power Solutions group for Transtector Systems, Inc. His primary focus is on Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS) or Surge Protection Devices (SPD) focusing on industry standards (IEEE, UL, NEC , etc.).

Attendees of this practical workshop will learn about subjects including grounding electrode systems, single point grounding, isolated ring and halo grounds, as well as tower grounding practices and site bonding.
