George Stoll is President of Utility Telecom Consulting Group, a frim providing telecom engineering, planning project management and FCC licensing services to the utilty and energy industries.
Mr. Stoll has more than 30 years of experience in the utility and telecommunications industry. He holds a BSEE from Colorado State University, an MS Telecommunications from the Unitversity of Denver and has graduated from business and technical programs at the University of Idaho,Univ of Colorado and the Edison Electric Institute.
George has been active in UTC for many years. In 1999 he was recognized nationally by UTC with their Dondanville award for significant contributions to the telecommunications industry. He is on the UTC Journal advisory board and regularly writes articles for our magazine and many others.

This session will introduce the many uses of telecom in utilities today. This is THE session for employees new to utilities or telecom fields, for IT professionals looking to see how telecom fits with what they do on a day-to-day basis or for vendors that sell to utility telecom professionals. This session will illustrate the changing role of telecommunications in utilities, focusing on data networks and telecom applications as well as wireless and fiber-based technologies.
